This wedding was quite a surprise for me! After meeting Anna and Joe at their flat in central Manchester, I knew straight away that it would be a stylish yet relaxed affair, but I had no Idea what a little gem the Alma Inn was! Sat on a hilltop in the middle of the Lancashire countryside, from the outside it appears to be a regular (albeit lovely) English pub, but hidden in the back is a beautifully light and airy conservatory - so much light!! :)
The whole day was held here, from getting ready in the Hotel side of the Inn, a lovely ceremony in the conservatory, chilled out drinks at the bar and finally a delicious meal and hilarious speeches! The colour scheme was so pretty and summery, and with a staggering hilltop view we got some great portraits.
Here's how it started.....
beautiful!....
meanwhile, downstairs, Joe and the boys were greeting guests as they arrived....
ready?....
after the ceremony we went outside for some...erm....(not so) formal shots....
eerie....
mmmmmm....
legendary best man's speech....
When I last heard from Anna + Joe they were in Paris, checking out the photos from an internet cafe!!
Hope you like them :)

Katy + Mark @ The Pines, Chorley
A few months ago I organised with these guys to meet up to have a chat about their day, and the moment I walked in their front door both Katy & I realised that we knew each other! We actually went to college at the same time and were in A Level Psychology classes together! So it was great to be able to photograph their day so many years on :)
The wedding was at St Georges in Chorley town centre with the reception at The Pines just down the road, both of which were the venues to host Katy's parents wedding 30 years ago, and not only that - her Grandparents' wedding too!! It was so lovely to see a sense of real tradition, but also with Katy and Mark's modern twists making the day their own.
I met Katy at her Mum and Dad's where she was preparing, the family were there, music was playing and the champagne was open!.......
Such a grand & elegant church...
Katy's mum looking fab in peacock blue....
Love this one....
Time for a stroll....
after the speeches we snook away for a few more portraits...
and finally, time to take to the floor....
Congratulations guys, your day was awesome!!
